My style

I use an observational 'reportage' style to record the story of your special day as it unfolds. I love to capture emotions and moments and provide images you'll cherish forever.

What is reportage style photography?

Reportage style photography is a photojournalist approach to capturing the story of an event in an ‘as it happens’ way. Shots aren’t set up or posed. This approach has become increasingly popular because it captures the real essence of a day recording natural expressions and the celebratory atmosphere.

How I will work with you

I photograph events in a spontaneous un-posed way, working without direction, and moving discreetly around to capture the action as it happens in a candid, unobtrusive style. Of course, knowing how important the more formal posed shots are, I am happy to work to a brief capturing the shots you require. We’ll work in advance to come up with a brief that is personal to your needs.

What I’ll typically cover for your day

The nature of reportage style photography means that you can’t predict exactly which moments will be captured when. But rest assured I’ll follow the timetable of your day to capture your key moments, from the couple’s preparations through to the first dance. I’ll also be there to capture the special details - clothing, shoes, rings, flowers, table arrangements, venue, and the more formal group shots as you require.

Using a creative eye I’ll be looking for real moments that give a well rounded document of your day. I aim to create a collection that’s all about you and the people that love you.
